Organization

Building consensus and cooperation among the many groups and individuals who have a role in the revitalization process. Volunteer recruitment & orientation and creating long-term sustainable funding for the program are also the responsibilities of this committee.

Current Projects

• Hold Neighborhood Outreach parties each month to generate volunteer & financial support from residents

• Continue building our business investors

• Plan the 2nd “Night on the Town” Live/Silent Auction

• Recruit & train volunteers

• Host the 2008 Annual meeting

Past Projects

The Organization Committee drafted by-laws, incorporated, and received non-profit status under the Department of Labor. The committee developed an organizational brochure to explain its mission and objectives to the public. Developed the “Night for the Town” Live/Silent Auction held in Oct. 2007 to raise awareness and funds for Gardiner Main Street.  Created the “Neighborhood Outreach” parties held monthly in private homes to educate the residents about what the organization does and how the role they can play in revitalizing downtown Gardiner.  Hosted BBQ’s to thank sponsors, host Annual Meetings to recognize volunteers, best façade improvements, building rehabs and creative endeavors.
