The Story of Mummy Paper

Join David Rawson and Susan Wolfe as they "uncover" the story of Gardiner's manufacturing of "mummy paper" using the wrappings from Egyptian mummies. Rawson is a professor of American History at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Wolfe is a rare books cataloguer at the American Antiquarian Society and is researching and writing a book on the history of Egyptian mummies.

The event is brought to you by the Kennebec Historical Society.
