Gardiner Main Street E-Newsletter
    April, 2008

Dear Downtown Friends,

I'm flying to Philadelphia to the National Main Street Conference being held March 31  - April 2.  I always return with lots of ideas and information on making downtown an even better place to live, work and recreate.  So don't be surprised when I ask for YOU to get involved in GMS!

By the way, if you have news or events to share with others interested in downtown, just let me know by Wednesday of each week.

Gardiner Farmer's Market

Gardiner is getting a Farmers' Market!  The City Council just approved having a Farmers' Market on the Common from late May through October every Wednesday, 2pm-6pm.  A wide variety of veggies, flowers, baked goods, coffee beans, milk, eggs, honey, berries, bread, corn, meat and poultry will be offered.  What a great way to support local farms, eat healthy and add another asset to this wonderful community.

I invite you to come downtown and enjoy the window displays, get some errands done or walk the rail trail.  Shake off the winter doldrums and remind yourself that it's SPRING!
